Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ana Ţugui to maneuver through the defense. With 5 minutes on the clock, Alexander Carballo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! Benito Sanz had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Ana Ţugui's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manole Tăcutu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dănuț Roman's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dănuț Roman got free with Benito Sanz in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. After 22 minutes, Virgil Mincu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Valea Buzăului and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Dănuț Roman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dănuț Roman in the 46th minute of the match. When Lautaro Puig fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Lautaro Puig a yellow card for diving instead. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dănuț Roman to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Dănuț Roman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dănuț Roman's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Dănuț Roman came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Manolescu during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Marius Manolescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes, Dănuț Roman made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Dănuț Roman managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Dănuț Roman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgil Mincu took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
