Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Necdet Oğuzer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. HORIZZONT's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Edmundo Espiga scored to the left of an out of position Sefa Yahya, making the score, 1-0. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind HORIZZONT's goalkeeper Sefa Yahya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsmail Cem Sehriyar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HORIZZONT's Sefa Yahya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 29th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sebastian Villa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sefa Yahya. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Sefa Yahya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, HORIZZONT's İsmail Cem Sehriyar got a free kick in the 34th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of HORIZZONT:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Honduras:s goal. The goalkeeper, Sefa Yahya, was totally fooled by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With his leg Sefa Yahya managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmundo Espiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sefa Yahya. That made the score 4-0 in the 42 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Luca Espinar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Necdet Oğuzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 58th minute of play forced HORIZZONT's goalkeeper Sefa Yahya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Necdet Oğuzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Suphi Ziyaettin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The HORIZZONT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sefa Yahya should have stopped the shot.
