After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Jacob Berrez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Jacob Berrez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Mogel Gordo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Innocenzio Alcalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Jacob Berrez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eneto Lojo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Innocenzio Alcalde was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Mogel Gordo sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Mogel Gordo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innocenzio Alcalde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Mogel Gordo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Innocenzio Alcalde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. A collision led to ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nunez Ugartondo hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Mogel Gordo got a free kick in the 80th minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Innocenzio Alcalde having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 84th minute of play forced ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s goalkeeper Innocenzio Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Berrez in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mogel Gordo in the 93rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
