Eneto Lojo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Innocenzio Alcalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Innocenzio Alcalde. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Mogel Gordo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The corner led ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Nunez Ugartondo to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Teyo Vana hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Innocenzio Alcalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Innocenzio Alcalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 38th minute of the match. The corner ended in Felix Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Innocenzio Alcalde did a great save. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Innocenzio Alcalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Felix Montenegro scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Innocenzio Alcalde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Innocenzio Alcalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikelats Albuerne in the 64th minute of the match. Innocenzio Alcalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innocenzio Alcalde having to interfere. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Innocenzio Alcalde made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Innocenzio Alcalde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 86 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nunez Ugartondo who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Innocenzio Alcalde in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
