Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Richie in the 8th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Gregorio Richie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Mårten Svartengren scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 3-0. In the 15th minute Gregorio Richie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, La Mazorca's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Karol Kluczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gregorio Richie in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rosendo Orkatz was slow to take the kick. During this time La Mazorca's players had a chance to rest. La Mazorca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rosendo Orkatz in the 31st minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Bogumil Burowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mazorca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bogumil Burowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Venezuela booed when La Mazorca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mårten Svartengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karol Kluczyk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karol Kluczyk. Karol Kluczyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 66th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Gregorio Richie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Karol Kluczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Bogumil Burowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. La Mazorca's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
