In the 30th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ST Lions FC's Özdemir Kutlualp suffered a concussion after 31 minutes and had to leave the field. When Iker Tafalla fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Iker Tafalla a yellow card for diving instead. ST Lions FC's Selim Ülkü was substituted for Özdemir Kutlualp. The supporters of ST Lions FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Selim Ülkü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Primitivo Escribano sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the game, Hızır Türkoğlu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Iker Tafalla quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 57 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Selim Ülkü came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakan Derim in the 60th minute of play. Hakan Derim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to ST Lions FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Hakkı Deniz Geylani hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selim Ülkü's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, ST Lions FC's Hakkı Deniz Geylani got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Yalçın Zeyni hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match.
