Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Gwarek Zabrze's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Felix Montenegro was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Gwarek Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pawel Wielowiejski to maneuver through the defense. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karol Mietus got free with Julio Vera in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the game, Karol Mietus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Karol Mietus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Łukasz Fabiański showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Łukasz Fabiański having to interfere. Łukasz Fabiański showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of the match. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced Gwarek Zabrze's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Łukasz Fabiański showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Łukasz Fabiański, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karol Mietus made a kick off. Łukasz Fabiański made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Gwarek Zabrze's Łukasz Fabiański got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of play forced Gwarek Zabrze's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Gwarek Zabrze's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Łukasz Fabiański tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Gwarek Zabrze's goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Felix Montenegro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Łukasz Fabiański, passed just outside the right post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Mietus in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gwarek Zabrze's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Łukasz Fabiański made a huge save. The Gwarek Zabrze support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
