Pedro Luiz Paranaense came out of the goal and Luca Espinar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luiz Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 17th minute of play forced Paris San Duíche's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Villa took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luiz Paranaense. Pedro Luiz Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 28 minutes into the match, Paris San Duíche's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Pedro Luiz Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Ceresso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 32nd playminute. Honduras's Luca Espinar quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Enrique Koehler, made in the 35th minute of the game. Paris San Duíche's Pedro Luiz Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Pedro Luiz Paranaense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ivan Navarro's late challenge caught a Paris San Duíche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Navarro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, one of Honduras:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Honduras. In the 57th minute, Deivid Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luiz Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 59th minute of play. When Deivid Machado fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paris San Duíche's protests and gave Deivid Machado a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Paris San Duíche got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Machado. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 64th minute. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Luiz Paranaense came out and tried to block the shot, but Sebastian Villa slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 72nd minute. Diego Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Paris San Duíche defense, Christian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luiz Paranaense. The Paris San Duíche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luiz Paranaense should have stopped the shot. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paris San Duíche.
