After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Jostein Røvik got a free kick in the 12th minute. A collision led to Seraċini Għawdxin getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Neil Degabriele hit a great ball. Rahim Kornes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Bejrut, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Miguel Caruana made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. With a little luck, Seraċini Għawdxin's Rahim Kornes got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seraċini Għawdxin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. 74 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahim Kornes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jostein Røvik was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 77 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Seraċini Għawdxin:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peru:s goal. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Peru. Luz Tejedor stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rahim Kornes. 1-1. 81 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahim Kornes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rahim Kornes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Seraċini Għawdxin's Fernando Negro. But to his dismay, Fernando Negro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 88 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahim Kornes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Rahim Kornes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
