In the 8th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Wennerlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Bispmotala BK's Ted Sandberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Billy Andersson got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy Andersson. In the 23rd minute of the match Bispmotala BK got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fellipe de Mendonça ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 32nd minute, Mårten Vallander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Wennerlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Andreasson in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Andreasson in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Billy Andersson. The supporters of Bispmotala BK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Wennerlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Andreasson in the 60th minute of play. Mårten Vallander kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Billy Andersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bispmotala BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 75 minutes into the game, Billy Andersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 81 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. 82 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Andersson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Andersson in the 86th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Rigoberto Mina put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Mårten Vallander hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Sebastian Wennerlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bispmotala BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
