Kornél Hajdú made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zakariás Tótfalusi during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Szentgotthárd got a freekick which was hit by Zakariás Tótfalusi. Szentgotthárd's Kornél Hajdú proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Szentgotthárd from getting a goal against them. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zakariás Tótfalusi's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Bálint Battai charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bálint Battai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Panama booed when Szentgotthárd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 38th minute József Sallói shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstanty Dzierwa in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Aaron Barrios got a free kick in the 41st minute. The wind increased when Tomas Berganza made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konstanty Dzierwa got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, József Sallói notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from József Sallói, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adorján Angyal hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Alex Cambeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Szentgotthárd played a much better game than Panama and deserved their victory. The Panama players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
