The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donato Gustau got the match started through his kick off. Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's Zeledon Quintin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 2nd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Marz came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Gustau took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Gustau in the 13th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Lacasa to make the kick off. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Gustau, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Zeledon Quintin in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chile's Francisco Carballar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zeledon Quintin but with some difficulty. In the 75th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zeledon Quintin. Zeledon Quintin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Zeledon Quintin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. Zeledon Quintin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 82nd minute. Isaias Lugo's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaias Lugo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's Isaias Lugo got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Quintin. Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The supporters of Linea 174 Ramal Castillo booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Casaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes, Mariano Lacasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Linea 174 Ramal Castillo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Linea 174 Ramal Castillo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
