Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktürk Özgiray in the 22nd minute of play. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Niğdespor's Göktürk Özgiray. But to his dismay, Göktürk Özgiray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Özer Akartürk made a huge save. In the 29thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Niğdespor's Özer Akartürk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 33 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Özer Akartürk managed to make a qualified save. Niğdespor's players were relieved. In the 38th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Özer Akartürk was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Erim Sungurbay struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niğdespor. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Özer Akartürk. Özer Akartürk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Özer Akartürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 60th minute of play. Niğdespor's Özer Akartürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Niğdespor's Özer Akartürk. Özer Akartürk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bahadırhan Rakim in the 68 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Niğdespor defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özer Akartürk. The Niğdespor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özer Akartürk should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Özer Akartürk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Özer Akartürk was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Özer Akartürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the game, Abdulmelik Özbir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Niğdespor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Abdulmelik Özbir kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göktürk Özgiray, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 92nd minute of the game Hurşit Aydemir made a throw-in which Erim Sungurbay played forward.
