Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Villegas's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Norberto Villegas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silviu Miclea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Campidelis in the 76th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Geovani Velloso made a huge save. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Silviu Miclea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Silviu Miclea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovani Velloso having to make a save. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Geovani Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. Silviu Miclea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Villegas in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Silviu Miclea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silviu Miclea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Noia fully deserved thier win.
