The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Merdin Merdaci in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Garci in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Ricardo Quintans short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Colombia's attentive Ignacio Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Paulo Cordarin made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merdin Merdaci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Kevin Mastache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-7.
