An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Alphonse in the 24th minute of play forced C A U's goalkeeper Feliberto Gonsalvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Barcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raymond Louis made in the 71st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gesner Philippe. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Barcelos got free with Noel Seide in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Barcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Ceferino Hever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Seide having to interfere. Jean Claude Ulysse's late challenge caught a C A U's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean Claude Ulysse helped the player get up and apologised. When C A U's Jorge Nahia in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Haiti's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle sounded C A U left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Haiti.
