Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Christoffer Kempel started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naldo de Alcântara. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo de Mendonça having to interfere. Paulo de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Luizinho Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Paulo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Pimenta. After having played for 32 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Paulo de Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 37 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Christoffer Kempel got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça. Paulo de Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 47th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 50 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo de Mendonça. Paulo de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Paulo de Mendonça got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo de Mendonça was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Sancho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 55 minute of play. When Naldo de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Paulo de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo de Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoffer Kempel in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Paulo de Mendonça in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo de Mendonça. Paulo de Mendonça yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. 82 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Paulo de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Cesinha Mazza got a free kick in the 84th minute. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulo de Mendonça. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 88 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Betão Senna. Almir Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita took a good shot, in the 90th minute, which hit the crossbar above Paulo de Mendonça's head, and flew over the goal. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Ecuador. Paulo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 92nd minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Rio Verde F.C CIMZ and deserved their victory. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
