Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Stark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Michael Fridlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by 龙雄鹏 in the 13th minute. After 22 minutes, Nick Stark mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vissefjärda IF and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Vissefjärda IF's Ulrik Granqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Luque in the 32nd minute of play. Ulrik Granqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Michael Fridlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vissefjärda IF's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrik Granqvist came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Ulrik Granqvist made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. After 53 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Joel Gaona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulrik Granqvist. That made the score 0-1 after 55 minutes of play. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ulrik Granqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 62 minutes into the match, Vissefjärda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Ulrik Granqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulrik Granqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute. Luca Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 80 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulrik Granqvist was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 85 minutes into the match, Vissefjärda IF's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Ulrik Granqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ulrik Granqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute, Lautaro Mancebo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vissefjärda IF getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Osvald Bergqvist hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 92nd minute of play forced Vissefjärda IF's goalkeeper Ulrik Granqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Jan-Olof Smedfeldt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vissefjärda IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 95th minute, Jan-Olof Smedfeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Vissefjärda IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
