Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Gråberg in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sakarias Bocklund saved SSC Napoli from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in SSC Napoli's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakarias Bocklund came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Clark Reuterwall came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes SSC Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Malte Viklund. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after SSC Napoli's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Axel Tasis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sakarias Bocklund quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 20 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SSC Napoli the free kick. Aaron Alcocer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Tasis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 37 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Preben Kaagaard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, SSC Napoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Gråberg to maneuver through the defense. Sakarias Bocklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Benito Sanz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tommy Gråberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Jens-Erik Andreasson came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SSC Napoli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Erik Andreasson couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 68th minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Erik Andreasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Axel Tasis took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sakarias Bocklund. Sakarias Bocklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a SSC Napoli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Benito Sanz, was totally fooled by SSC Napoli's Walter Lindholm, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to SSC Napoli getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Walter Lindholm hit a great ball. SSC Napoli played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
