Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jens-Erik Andreasson got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Noboa. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Gråberg in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sakarias Bocklund having to make a save. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clark Reuterwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 25 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Gråberg in the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sakarias Bocklund. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. Tommy Gråberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SSC Napoli's Malte Viklund got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. The supporters of SSC Napoli booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes, SSC Napoli's Preben Kaagaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SSC Napoli reached it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Jens-Erik Andreasson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Erik Andreasson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes SSC Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Per-Olof Ödman. 52 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Sakarias Bocklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SSC Napoli's Preben Kaagaard got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rdth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SSC Napoli's Sakarias Bocklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommy Gråberg. Tommy Gråberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes SSC Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Walter Lindholm. Sakarias Bocklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 82nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clark Reuterwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 86th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense.
