Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Bautista in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Bautista in the 74th managed to get into a good position. Jesus Dalmu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palermo AFC's Severiano Udalaitz got a free kick in the 81st minute. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Peru's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
