Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jens-Erik Andreasson started the match with the kick off. Sakarias Bocklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The corner ended in Aaron Alcocer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SSC Napoli's Sakarias Bocklund did a great save. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SSC Napoli's Sakarias Bocklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 10th minute of play. After 19 played minutes, SSC Napoli's Preben Kaagaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SSC Napoli reached it. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakarias Bocklund having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SSC Napoli's Malte Viklund got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. Preben Kaagaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Sakarias Bocklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. After a defensive mix-up in SSC Napoli's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sakarias Bocklund came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th match minute, SSC Napoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Lindholm to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sakarias Bocklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sakarias Bocklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliseo Noboa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Preben Kaagaard made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Walter Lindholm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clark Reuterwall went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 73 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the SSC Napoli players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when SSC Napoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orvar Nykvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes SSC Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Walter Lindholm. Sakarias Bocklund made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. Clark Reuterwall succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 88th minute of play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sakarias Bocklund having to make a save.
