The supporters of Peru booed when Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 26th minute of play. Eliseo Mina struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Amauri Félix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 32nd match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Neves to maneuver through the defense. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luz Tejedor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amauri Félix. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alonso Berganza's late challenge caught a Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alonso Berganza helped the player get up and apologised. 82 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amauri Félix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo scored 2-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amauri Félix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. There was no doubt that Peru were the better team. Peru's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
