Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Leheren Ozuna started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Raul Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Tarapoto FBC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Paraguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Deportivo Tarapoto FBC:s goal. Jacobo Nores had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Leheren Ozuna's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 10th minute, Leheren Ozuna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Marques Farto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Deportivo Tarapoto FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's Ivon Herruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 13th minute of play. Ivon Herruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leheren Ozuna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leheren Ozuna in the 21st minute of play. Xavier Zoido hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Leheren Ozuna put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. When Jaime Pardo fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Jaime Pardo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Jaime Pardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes, Leonardo Gaiztarro made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32ndth minute of the game Leheren Ozuna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's Leonardo Gaiztarro got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Deportivo Tarapoto FBC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ferrando Cimbron hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes Deportivo Tarapoto FBC got a freekick which was hit by Marques Farto. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paraguay! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisc Blajovici hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivon Herruz having to interfere. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Alberigo Capaldo in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Ivan Prats. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. Leonardo Gaiztarro in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Nores, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Deportivo Tarapoto FBC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Francisc Blajovici hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Marques Farto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-3. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jaime Pardo was slow to take the kick. During this time Paraguay's players had a chance to rest. In the 86th minute, Paraguay's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ferrando Cimbron fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alberigo Capaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Leheren Ozuna came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Deportivo Tarapoto FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leheren Ozuna couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Tarapoto FBC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
