The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicanor Gorosti made in the 4th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gerrit Bogaerts however managed to control. In the 5th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Ochabski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paquito Franco in the 8th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogumil Kowalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Nicanor Gorosti made in the 13th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gerrit Bogaerts immediately put the ball in play. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Bogumil Kowalski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bogumil Kowalski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Paquito Franco struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LAMUSY. In the 22nd minute, LAMUSY's Borys Gajewski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicanor Gorosti, made in the 26th minute of the game. After having played for 29 minutes, Paquito Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LAMUSY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paquito Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as LAMUSY's Paquito Franco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 after 34 minutes of play. After 36 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paquito Franco in the 37th minute. A collision led to LAMUSY getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Nicanor Gorosti hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the game, Borys Gajewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LAMUSY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, LAMUSY's Borys Gajewski got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paquito Franco made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Fabian Serwacki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Borys Gajewski made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogumil Kowalski in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogumil Kowalski in the 63rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the LAMUSY defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wieslaw Podowski. The LAMUSY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wieslaw Podowski should have stopped the shot. Nicanor Gorosti kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Paquito Franco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paquito Franco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 89th minute, Wiktor Polakowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Paquito Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Paquito Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of LAMUSY booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paquito Franco in the 96th minute of play. LAMUSY's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
