Moulay Faudel went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Villa in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fawzi Ramdane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Honduras booed when Kashima Antlers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdellah Medjadi Temmam didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fawzi Ramdane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 66th minute of the match. The tension between the Kashima Antlers and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kashima Antlers's Lili Cavalli got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
