In the 3rd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lev Yashin skillfully saved the ball. Harriet Basabe took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Matxin Maliaño struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conjunto Paisa. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Lev Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Conjunto Paisa's Gilberto Araoz got a free kick in the 26th minute. Elói Abreu hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Conjunto Paisa's Harriet Basabe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matxin Maliaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 42nd minute of the match. Matxin Maliaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Conjunto Paisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ke Hui Kuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Yashin having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 52nd minute of the match. Conjunto Paisa's Harriet Basabe got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harriet Basabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wei Yu Zheng who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Wei Yu Zheng almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Harriet Basabe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conjunto Paisa's supporters rose to their feet, but Harriet Basabe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Yashin having to interfere. Matxin Maliaño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lev Yashin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 71st match minute, Conjunto Paisa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harriet Basabe went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matxin Maliaño in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Conjunto Paisa's Gilberto Araoz got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Daniel Zorita, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matxin Maliaño in the 90th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Conjunto Paisa had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
