Zeledon Ilazki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After some careless play in the Sportivo Mela Banco defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. The Sportivo Mela Banco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Ilazki should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced Sportivo Mela Banco's goalkeeper Zeledon Ilazki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeo Seguinus to strike the kick off in the second half. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-11 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zeledon Ilazki. Zeledon Ilazki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. After some careless play in the Sportivo Mela Banco defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. The Sportivo Mela Banco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Ilazki should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Filiberto Sauveur in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Cristian Sancho advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-15 in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Zeledon Ilazki in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Ilazki saved Sportivo Mela Banco from getting behind. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Sportivo Mela Banco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the game's 83rd minute Ecuador's Daniel Zorita took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Zeledon Ilazki and thus the score was 0-16. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Zeledon Ilazki made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Saelices in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Ilazki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Ilazki. Sportivo Mela Banco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-17. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sportivo Mela Banco.
