Santiago Cañizares was a little too slow when Darryl Nicholson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Ciapponi in the 21st minute of play. With an all-out effort, 大汉•咖喱啡♀海盗王杜蕾斯♂粤's Santiago Cañizares threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eraldo Ciapponi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eraldo Ciapponi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Cañizares having to interfere. With a little luck, Falso Valencia CF's Santiago Cañizares got control of the ball when Darryl Nicholson tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darryl Nicholson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eraldo Ciapponi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Cañizares was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eraldo Ciapponi couldn't finish the play. Santiago Cañizares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
