The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 87th match minute, YR☆Bald Eagle™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Jupân in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Jupân, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
