Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tormenta EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. 5 minutes into the match, Tormenta EC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Augusto Demaria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Demaria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Augusto Demaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Demaria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Garcia in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celso de Queirós was slow to take the kick. During this time Tormenta EC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Celso de Queirós got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Garcia in the 23rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Tormenta EC's Bernard Dyczkowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Augusto Demaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernard Dyczkowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Demaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Augusto Demaria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tormenta EC's Xalvador Bahamondes got a free kick in the 38th minute. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Demaria. Tormenta EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pio Echavarri in the 42nd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Magno Garcia sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magno Garcia was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Beto França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tormenta EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Celso de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tormenta EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute Pio Echavarri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Augusto Demaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Magno Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Augusto Demaria came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 72nd minute. Augusto Demaria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Tormenta EC's Beto França nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Tormenta EC's Augusto Demaria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Tormenta EC from getting a goal against them. Augusto Demaria was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 2-3. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Augusto Demaria made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magno Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magno Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magno Garcia hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Carneiro in the 95th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tormenta EC.
