Alexsandro Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Andrea Tofani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexsandro Godoi having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, I ritirandi di Canaus's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Alexsandro Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 94 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexsandro Godoi. Rafael Gallo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than I ritirandi di Canaus.
