Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gomosao F.C.'s Jesus Baristo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Jesus Baristo in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Baristo. In the 22nd minute, Aquilino Nuxila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gomosao F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jesus Baristo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Nuxila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Aquilino Nuxila notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jesus Baristo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 41st playminute. 45 minutes into the match, Gomosao F.C.'s Aquilino Nuxila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesus Baristo made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Jesus Baristo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Jesus Baristo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvestre Ongile during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Gomosao F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvestre Ongile to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Nuxila in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Gomosao F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Bieito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Gomosao F.C.'s Aquilino Nuxila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Baristo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesus Baristo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquilino Nuxila took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Jesus Baristo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Jesus Baristo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 minutes of play, Gomosao F.C.'s Vicente Dalmai made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a Gomosao F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gomosao F.C.'s zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Stolniceanu came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Nuxila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Baristo in the 94th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gomosao F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
