In the 7th minute, Jesus Baristo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gomosao F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 9th match minute, Gomosao F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Bieito to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Pardo in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petre Stolniceanu saved Gomosao F.C. from getting behind. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Jesus Baristo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesus Baristo scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacobo Nores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Petre Stolniceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Baristo. After 36 played minutes Aquilino Nuxila rounded Paraguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Aquilino Nuxila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. If Jesus Baristo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th match minute, Gomosao F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Baristo to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Nuxila in the 60th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Baristo in the 61st minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Gomosao F.C.'s Aquilino Nuxila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Baristo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gomosao F.C. booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79thth minute of the game Jesus Baristo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Fermin Bieito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fermin Bieito charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fermin Bieito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fermin Bieito kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
