Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigio Petrigai. El Imperio del Cuervo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, El Imperio del Cuervo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Remigio Petrigai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Petrigai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 25 minutes, Zachariasz Frankowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Imperio del Cuervo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zachariasz Frankowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zachariasz Frankowski during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, El Imperio del Cuervo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zachariasz Frankowski to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Remigio Petrigai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, El Imperio del Cuervo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Remigio Petrigai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind El Imperio del Cuervo's goalkeeper Remigio Petrigai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Petrigai. Remigio Petrigai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 35 minutes into the game, Baltasar Txatxu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Imperio del Cuervo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Imperio del Cuervo! Daniel Zorita walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Remigio Petrigai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play forced El Imperio del Cuervo's goalkeeper Remigio Petrigai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zachariasz Frankowski. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Petrigai. Remigio Petrigai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 56th minute of play forced El Imperio del Cuervo's goalkeeper Remigio Petrigai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eusebio Criston fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Imperio del Cuervo's protests and gave Eusebio Criston a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 57th minute of play forced El Imperio del Cuervo's goalkeeper Remigio Petrigai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when El Imperio del Cuervo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Txatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Zachariasz Frankowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remigio Petrigai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Cristian Sancho scored 0-9 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remigio Petrigai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Imperio del Cuervo.
