A nice corner shot did that Demis Katsarolidis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Baturhan Oytun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guga Trancoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Pedro Manzanares managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when PIAUÍ FC's Demis Katsarolidis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Guga Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guga Trancoso in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Guga Trancoso in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Mete Gøl managed to get in a good position for a shot. PIAUÍ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mete Gøl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mete Gøl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Mete Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Baturhan Oytun made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Abram Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Chiriacescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 59th minute, Colombia's Kevin Mastache dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After having played for 63 minutes, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute Mete Gøl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute Guga Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Trancoso in the 69th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes in the game Joaquim Ubiña did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Demis Katsarolidis. Baturhan Oytun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Iurie Chiriacescu was a little too slow when Abram Secada got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 86thth minute of the game Guga Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Baturhan Oytun advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-3 in the 89th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Iurie Chiriacescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juninho Freitas's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Trancoso in the 96th minute of play.
