Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baldomero Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juventud Antoniana's goalie prevented a goal. After 18 minutes Juventud Antoniana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Baldomero Shantala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Eugenio Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventud Antoniana's Baldomero Shantala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Andino in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Shantala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Juventud Antoniana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Baldomero Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Abeitia in the 41st minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Juventud Antoniana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Juventud Antoniana's Baldomero Shantala managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Abeitia in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, one of Juventud Antoniana:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Juventud Antoniana. Juventud Antoniana:s Baldomero Shantala showed great skill when he stopped Daniel Zorita:s penalty. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Shantala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juventud Antoniana's Niceto Sadurni was substituted for Lobo Lobo. Juventud Antoniana's Fausto Tiniebra was substituted for 贺适轩. Juventud Antoniana made a substitution. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Niceto Sadurni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Abeitia in the 98th minute of the match. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
