Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonathan Alphonse started the match with the kick off. Philippe Ambroise blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Homero Carrasqueira having to make a save. José Castelo Branco made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Haiti's Rodney Emmanuel. If Jonathan Alphonse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Sporting Vila Facaia getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rui Gago hit a great ball. Gesner Philippe might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Homero Carrasqueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gesner Philippe ran back to his position shaking his head. Haiti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonathan Alphonse in the 24th minute. The corner led Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse to fire away a dangerous shot which Homero Carrasqueira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Haiti's zone, Idalécio Araújo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Seide came out of the goal and Idalécio Araújo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Homero Carrasqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 29th minute of the match. Gesner Philippe struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Homero Carrasqueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haiti. 32 minutes into the match, Jonathan Alphonse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Homero Carrasqueira. Sporting Vila Facaia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Alphonse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Philippe Ambroise came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Haiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philippe Ambroise couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Alphonse in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Homero Carrasqueira saved Sporting Vila Facaia from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Philippe Ambroise got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Idalécio Araújo made the kick off in the second half. Idalécio Araújo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Noel Seide firmly grabbed it by the left post. Homero Carrasqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 56th minute of the match. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Padilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 65th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodney Emmanuel to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Haiti getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rodney Emmanuel hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by José Castelo Branco in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Raymond Louis. Philippe Ambroise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Homero Carrasqueira having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Sporting Vila Facaia's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Homero Carrasqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Padilha in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Vila Facaia booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernso Constant didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Emmanuel. 91 minutes into the game, José Castelo Branco threw the ball into play from the sideline. Haiti's Rodney Emmanuel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jonathan Alphonse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Haiti had won after a very even match.
