Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Koby Wright made a kick off. Koby Wright was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. Carter George made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that ≮王者归来≯虎贲军's Ritchie De Smedt managed to reach the ball for a save. Jan Dixon might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ritchie De Smedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 93rd minute, Melchor Bemabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ritchie De Smedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Dixon in the 94th minute. The Canada supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Canada would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
