Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Padilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Charles Cox kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Bento Padilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Bento Padilha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Vila Facaia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curacao the free kick. A collision led to Sporting Vila Facaia getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Bento Padilha hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Idalécio Araújo got free with Bruno Barrett in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stanley Wallace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Homero Carrasqueira having to interfere. Rocco Owen hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Sporting Vila Facaia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Curacao throughout the match.
