Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Baars in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits van Loo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerjan Staarman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerjan Staarman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Gerjan Staarman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 24th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Frits van Loo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Gerjan Staarman scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean-Paul Schuiling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frits van Loo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. When Casper Tinselboer fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Tinselboer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Jean-Paul Schuiling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Wissenkerke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Paul Schuiling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sjors Breugel charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sjors Breugel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Paul Schuiling in the 69th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Jean-Paul Schuiling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gertjan Baars, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The supporters of SV Wissenkerke booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes, SV Wissenkerke's Mariano Bombarda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Wissenkerke reached it. SV Wissenkerke's Gerjan Staarman collided with an opponent after 95 minutes. He was hit so badly that he fractured his arm. After 96 minutes, Hugo Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the SV Wissenkerke players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SV Wissenkerke had won after a very even match.
