The supporters of Peru booed when Voyager Soccer Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldemar Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldemar Quintal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waldemar Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peru were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Voyager Soccer Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Emmanuel Reyes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waldemar Quintal quite easily take care of the ball. Acácio Sharkiy made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 61st match minute, Voyager Soccer Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Sharkiy to maneuver through the defense. Waldemar Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldemar Quintal came out of the goal and Rafael Gallo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
