A hard shot 5 in the game by Axel Tasis from a close distance when the talented Mariusz Majkowski managed to make a qualified save. Roman Tim Tfaruk's players were relieved. After 8 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Lewkowicz in the 21st minute of play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Lewkowicz in the 38th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Pan in the 39th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Lewkowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Fryderyk Lewkowicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Benito Sanz was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Pawel Pan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pawel Pan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Pawel Pan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Roman Tim Tfaruk's Pawel Pan got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kacper Naskrent in the 66th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Pawel Pan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fryderyk Lewkowicz went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariusz Majkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kacper Naskrent, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Fryderyk Lewkowicz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mariusz Majkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Costa Rica fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Roman Tim Tfaruk were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
