Despite this Semih Eğriöz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 10 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Semih Eğriöz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Turabi Altınpınar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Semih Eğriöz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Luton Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tosh Fordham to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semih Eğriöz having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Semih Eğriöz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semih Eğriöz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Luton Town defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Semih Eğriöz. The Luton Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Semih Eğriöz should have stopped the shot. Semih Eğriöz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 33rd minute of the match. Turabi Altınpınar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Semih Eğriöz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Semih Eğriöz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Semih Eğriöz in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justs Braslavecs in the 57th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Eguerdi in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Justs Braslavecs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Justs Braslavecs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Semih Eğriöz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Semih Eğriöz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play. Shane Lamb's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shane Lamb helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Luton Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Lamb to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Shane Lamb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dylon Ronson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Luton Town made a substitution. Tommy Scrivener replaced Shane Lamb. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Naldo Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luton Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 85 played minutes Luton Town got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Bezerra. Semih Eğriöz made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Naldo Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luton Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Luton Town throughout the match.
