Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Rio Tercero's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvar Öberg came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Mark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Öberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalkeeper Alvar Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Club Atletico Rio Tercero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 14th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Felix Montenegro drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalkeeper. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Alvar Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of the match. Agustín Saelices made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Alvar Öberg managed to reach the ball for a save. 25 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Alvar Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jacobo Mark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Rio Tercero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Alvar Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 46th minute of play. Jacobo Mark charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacobo Mark the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jacobo Mark hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacobo Mark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Mark in the 51st minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Jerrald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejandro Jerrald in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 68th minute Marcelo Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Jacobo Mark notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Mark, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 81 played minutes Club Atletico Rio Tercero got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Romano. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Alvar Öberg made a huge save. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Alvar Öberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
