But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mariusz Majkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 27th minute of the match. Mariusz Majkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Edmundo Espiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mariusz Majkowski. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fryderyk Lewkowicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Kacper Naskrent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Kacper Naskrent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariusz Majkowski having to interfere. After 98 minutes of play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariusz Majkowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Honduras were the better team. Honduras's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
