Roland Varga kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Szolnoki MÁV booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emesto Muñagorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a Szolnoki MÁV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mátyás Lisztes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mátyás Lisztes was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Patricio Costa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patricio Costa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Venezuela had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
