With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lazcano Rio in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, RAKMO's goalkeeper Cyryl Soszka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cyryl Soszka having to make a save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lazcano Rio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cyryl Soszka. RAKMO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoni Olchowy in the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind RAKMO's goalkeeper Cyryl Soszka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lazcano Rio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RAKMO the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Botelho's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Witalis Sowa fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RAKMO's protests and gave Witalis Sowa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RAKMO getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Witalis Sowa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Korneliusz Felenak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. RAKMO's Cyryl Soszka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antoni Olchowy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyryl Soszka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
