Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luix Nicola in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced Ríver Late's goalkeeper Luix Nicola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Luix Nicola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luix Nicola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luix Nicola having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 19th minute of play forced Ríver Late's goalkeeper Luix Nicola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Pan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Luix Nicola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ríver Late's Luix Nicola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luix Nicola. Luix Nicola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Cristian Sancho sped through Ríver Late's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luix Nicola. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osoitz Baron made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Luix Nicola. Ríver Late's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 56 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's goalkeeper Luix Nicola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 56 played minutes Daniel Zorita rounded Ríver Late's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. After 59 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Pan. In the 59th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luix Nicola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Luix Nicola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play forced Ríver Late's goalkeeper Luix Nicola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ríver Late was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xizavier Cladera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luix Nicola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 77th minute of play. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luix Nicola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 83 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. After a rather tough play, Ríver Late's Zelipe Laboy got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Luix Nicola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luix Nicola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Terrilla. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ríver Late throughout the match.
