Troy Kennedy scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Ambjörnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Ljugarbänken Bollklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Rocco Owen came free, but Charles Ambjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troy Kennedy in the 17th minute of play forced Ljugarbänken Bollklubb's goalkeeper Charles Ambjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Rocco Owen made a precise shot to the right of Charles Ambjörnsson. Ljugarbänken Bollklubb's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 23 minutes into the match, Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allan Ahlfors. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Troy Kennedy got a free kick in the 24th minute. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Stanley Wallace hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Pilgren in the 30th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Ljugarbänken Bollklubb defense, Rocco Owen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charles Ambjörnsson. The Ljugarbänken Bollklubb fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charles Ambjörnsson should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute, Ljugarbänken Bollklubb's Filip Pilgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filip Pilgren made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Rocco Owen. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Ahlfors in the 52nd minute of the match. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Pilgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Ljugarbänken Bollklubb. Filip Pilgren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bruno Barrett. 4-3. Filip Pilgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Filip Pilgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. Charles Ambjörnsson was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Troy Kennedy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Troy Kennedy really showed his touch with that goal: 5-4. Ljugarbänken Bollklubb's Charles Ambjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocco Owen in the 79th minute of play. In the 89th minute Allan Ahlfors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanley Wallace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ljugarbänken Bollklubb fans cheered their team off the field, for while Curacao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
